DRINK OF THE MOMENT: BARNABY'S LIL BATTLER | BAR BELLY

What used to be known as the Lower East Side bar, Leadbelly has re-opened as Bar Belly in early 2018. They have curated a cocktail list that features simple, vibrant, and well-executed cocktails - one of which being Barnaby's Lil Battler. This cocktail features one of the most unique gins on the market, The Bloody Shiraz Gin, from one of my favorite gin distilleries out there, Four Pillars. The piney, peppery, raspberry character of the Bloody Shiraz Gin is brought to life in this low-ABV highball which is juicy, bright, and scarily guzzable (Is that a word...? Now it is).  

Ingredients

2 oz Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin
3/4 oz Blood Orange Juice
3/4 oz Honey Syrup
1/2 oz Cherry Heering
1/2 oz Lemon juice

Method: Build all ingredients in a small tin, fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into highball with fresh ice and top with a lemon wheel & tarragon sprig
